No Randomness: beauty of form

You are born, tuning, you die
Shunned by cultural institutions, yet genuine popular artistic expression, tuning is honored in the heart of the Museum of Art and Industry. The luminous poetry Glithero
Inescapable Etienne history, the Mining Museum opened the doors to its annexGlithero . Affected by the energy that emanates from the place and its suspension in time, the two British designers have created Luminaria, a poetic and fleeting light installation. Game of light and reflections, eye recreates around a neon and an inclusive sculptural geometric form. An almost magical visual experience that questions the possession.
The reflection of the world by Lee Bul
Attentive to international creation, the Biennale has chosen Seoul for guest.Among Korean designers present, Lee Bul presents the Museum of Modern Art imaginary landscapes. The artist internalizes the utopias of the world and his country. It delivers installations to be covered, as set abyss, where reflections play realities and multiply endlessly.
Artifact current creation as a cabinet of curiosities
Artifact is the result of an international call for project and wants to representative of the "zeitgeist". Among the 80 selected projects and presentations on two areas of the city (City of design and labor exchange), the younger generation questions the return of ancestral gesture, urban mutations or simply on the body.I especially loved the Mercury lamp Lucie Le Guen (fast, an editor!), Urban greenhouses poetize plant incursions into the city (Luke Beaussart, Audrey Charré and Clementine Schmidt) or the shelf Fusion for Iris Delvalle who hides behind a glass dial.
The Bestiary and playful workshop
Clever as a monkey, sly as a fox, proud as a peacock ... the young and prolific designer Ionna Vautrin invites children to slip into the skin of animals of all kinds.The collection of cardboard costumes, prepared for the event by 14 designers, is extended by a playful workshop to imagine and realize their own costume.
The Off all the sauces
On the sidelines of the official program, 80 "off" exhibitions are held throughout the city. We especially find the sketches of Eric Jourdan , graduates of the creations Ensci or To all sauces. For the latter, the Area Association took possession of an abandoned storefront in which 12 designers "fanstasmé" a kitchen utensil, and reveals a cabinet of curiosities that culinary dream to see published.
